Reach Recruitment are proud to be recruiting for a counterbalance forklift driver for our client in HU9. This is to work on continental shifts which is 2 weeks on days and 2 weeks on nights.
Hourly Rate: £13.38
Work pattern:
Week 1 - Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (DAYS)
Week 2 - Wednesday and Thursday (DAYS)
Week 3- Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (NIGHTS)
Week 4 - Wednesday and Thursday (NIGHTS)
The role involves
- Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy warehouse and yard environment
- Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of goods onto shelves or pallets
- Moving goods from storage areas to loading areas for transport
- Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the goods to their designated storage areas
- Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions
- Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages
- Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures
- Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods
You will
- Ability to Lead by example and maintain discipline on shift and work to Core Values
- Ability to delegate work effectively
- Hold valid Counterbalance forklift licence
- Good communication skills.
- Capable of working under pressure.
- High level of attention to detail and documentation.
