Reach Recruitment is currently collaborating with a leading UK meat product manufacturer, seeking dedicated Skilled Operatives to join their team at a state-of-the-art facility in Hull. This dynamic role involves contributing to the production of a diverse range of flavourful coated chicken products, such as Kyivs, goujons, and steaks. The ideal candidates will demonstrate reliability, flexibility, self-motivation, and a strong work ethic, with the potential for a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Under the guidance of the Line Leader, ensure that each product specification is followed, and any anomalies are reported immediately.
- To ensure that any production targets set by the Line Leader or Shift Manager are met; or if this is not possible, shortfalls are reported to the relevant person in a timely manner.
- To maintain a clean and tidy area (work, changing room, canteen, etc.) meeting both safety and hygiene regulations of the site.
- To report any equipment defects immediately to the Shift Manager / Line Leader.
- Reporting to management any issues which may impact on food safety, health & safety, productivity and service levels.
- Mentor (assists & help) new employees within the department.
- To contribute and participate in projects that may be outside your usual remit as requested and agreed by Management.
- Be conversant with four strategic pillars (QVIP). Champion this within the department and the wider site.
- Working with Cemex scale.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated reliability, flexibility, and self-motivation
