Reach Recruitment are proud to announce that we are currently recruiting Recycling Operatives for our Waste Management client based in the HU14 - Melton area.
The purpose of this role is to work as part of the operational picking team to deliver effective, timely and cost-effective waste processes on our recycling processing site. You will be working as a part of a team picking recyclable materials from conveyer belt, doing general housekeeping, supporting different department with any additional tasks.
Due to site location, own transport is essential.
Duties and responsibilities:
- To work within each waste stream sorting all waste within each process for effective recycling operations.
- To work closely with other team members, to ensure compliance with Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies, procedures, and regulations.
- To use equipment to assist recycling processes as required. - To carry out general housekeeping and maintain high standards in the recycling plant and externally.
- Maintain a clean and tidy operations site and equipment.
- Report all near misses, accidents, or incidents in accordance with company procedures.
- Sort waste and remove non-recyclable items.
- Inspect materials for contamination.

- Experience within the waste industry (desirable)
- Available work long hours and occasionally
Working hours:
Monday to Friday - 6am until 6pm
Breaks:
2x15min tea breaks
1x30min lunch break
